Product & Range Manager - Hallmark - Maternity Cover

We’re looking for a Product and Range Manager to join our Hallmark team focussed on developing first class product ranges, season to season, for approximately 9-12 months.  Working seamlessly with Creative you’ll jointly bring to life the creative vision, execute commercially viable range builds, briefing product and trading requirements, in line with the creative, product and range strategy.  Extending your impact end to end, you’ll identify and action trading activity, managing POS solutions to enhance your product offering.  


Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivery of an insight led, market leading consumer product range builds
  • Execute product strategy within a value for money matrix  and e range builds, within a range strategy including architecture, pricing and fixture/display layout, including:
    • Building within architecture constraints, making recommendation and capturing data for financial roll up
    • Actioning trade activity to maximise opportunity, including:
    • Self servicing with sales data 
    • Identify trading intervention and activity
    • Identifying product gaps at build and writing line level product briefs, in line with the creative vision
  • Work closely with Commercial, Supply Partners, Marketing, Creative and Buying to make to deliver right first time, right quality, right cost & on time and maximise trading opportunities aligned to the customer strategy

We’re looking for experienced Product Manager at ease with the customer and full lifecycle.  To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • Educated to degree level or experience within a product development/marketing discipline or equivalent industry related experience
  • Experience delivering a strategy to fixed objectives and KPIs, ideally spanning across creative, product and commercials strategies
  • Experience building product ranges and articulating the rationale behind selections across multiple seasons and product lines
  • Full product development lifecycle knowledge and experience, ideally creative led, FMCG environment
  • Natural leadership and stakeholder management skills, engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and experience of delivering profitable products within KPIs 
  • Knowledge and experience of costing and product pricing, sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management
  • To be flexible, resourceful, agile and resilient, whilst staying focused on objectives and targets
  • Comfortable with insights driven decision making, data management and reporting for varying audiences to identify trends, give trading commentary and propose trading activity and intervention
