SEO Copywriter
As our SEO Copywriter, you’ll play a key role in crafting compelling, SEO‑rich product and on‑site web copy that enhances visibility and engagement across Hallmark UK’s online channels and retail platforms. Working closely with marketing, digital and ecommerce teams, you’ll help ensure content is engaging, discoverable and aligned to our brand voice.
While this is an English‑focused role, you’ll also support content localisation for the Netherlands market by working with translation tools and existing NL marketing and ecommerce resources to proofcheck accuracy and tone. Through insight‑led optimisation, you’ll directly support Hallmark’s growth ambitions and brand consistency across Europe.
Your Responsibilities
- Create and maintain high‑quality, SEO‑optimised product descriptions across branded websites and retail platforms, including Amazon.
- Develop and maintain high‑quality on‑site web and blog copy in English.
- Use analytics and keyword research tools to identify trends and improve content performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and marketing agencies to test, learn and refine SEO strategies.
- Use translation tools to support content localisation for the Netherlands market, working with NL marketing and ecommerce teams to proofcheck accuracy and tone.
- Support wider marketing activity by contributing to ad copy and social media content when required.
- Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency and brand alignment.
- Share insights and collaborate with US counterparts to support global brand alignment.
- Actively participate in feedback sessions and skill‑sharing to support team development and creativity.
- Assist the wider marketing team with ad hoc requests to support the smooth delivery of campaigns and projects.
Your Accountabilities
- Ownership of core KPIs, targets and goals for the role.
- Contribution to strategic content planning and ongoing optimisation.
- Driving online engagement and conversion through effective SEO practices.
- Maintaining brand tone of voice and consistency across all digital touchpoints.
To Be Successful You Will Need
- Proven experience in SEO best practices and on‑site optimisation.
- Confidence using GA4, Search Console and other relevant research tools.
- Strong copywriting skills with a creative, consumer‑focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to use automation tools for content creation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Degree‑level education or equivalent relevant experience.
- A proactive approach with strong adaptability and commercial awareness.
- Experience using translation tools or working with local market stakeholders (desirable; language fluency not required).
